So this is what dawned on me few days back ..How can one measure If he ever succeeded at anything in his/her lifetime?
I tried.. education, money, clothes, travel, cars, lush-apartments, wash-board abs, even tattoos for that matter.
But found them to fall short of the real test of time and one’s success.

With a lot of brain-racking, I present to you my out-of-fashion take on “how to measure success”?

Please consider yourselves lucky if you have probably got a mad-mix of these type of friends …

Type no 1:
The absolute soulmate .. your bae for life.she is your crazy twin soul who gets all your super crazy jokes and finishes your sentences (read some cheesy Hindi songs too). She will probably be driven by some crazy language-bug and would want to learn German in Brazil and probably marry a Brazilian.. which I say would never happen coz u know her too well.but she would be a kick ass sales person.. and would be in some posh corner of the world making loads of money by tricking people with her smart mouth. Over the years, you two are gonna fight, argue but never cease to love beyond conditions and expectations.

Type 2:
She is the dork of your group! Like literally .. she would be the reason your parents think u are dull in studies coz she always broke all academic records. Did I mention she would also give the best advice in the world ? She is the Hermoine to my Harry Potter. She would be researching her ass off in the poshest tech labs of the world.. grossing you out about the dissections she does each day! Scientist in the making. Mind you Type 1 and Type 2 would be at loggerheads sometimes, and you would have to play Saif from Dil Chahta Hai sometimes too. But She’s gonna be your rock.. and by rock i dont man limestones.. she would be your un-cut Diamond

Type 3:
My knight in the shinning armor. She is probably the fiercest friend you would have, who would not let you tolerate any crap from any mind on earth. She would also be your food-mate .. would happily gobble down chunks of chicken with you. She will teach you to love yourself the most and above everything in the world. Making boy-blunders alongside with you. With an equal share of heartbreaks, she is gonna rock the boat like no other has.
You will find her in the most hot and happening restaurants in Australia, smart-assing her way through all the goras!

Type 4:
She would be the quintessential South Indian tadka in your life. With years and years of wisdom and dry humour inbibed in Her; like the complex sambhar masala ! Here I have to mention you would have to be the saviour and ward off some evils around her.. but she will enlighten your world with her crazy sarcasm. She will always be so humble and rule a financial domain with her excellent number crunching skills and give every man a run for his money.

Type 5: If you are even faintly as lucky as I was .. you would find this one while travelling in a foreign land. She will eat your brains out..like pick fights with every breathe… but also be there for you all the time. She is going to be your roommate my friends .. gossip and bitch about those idiotic boyfriends all night long. She will always and always remain a vagabond.. travelling .. writing .. and morphing careers as she changes her hairstyles!

I think I have my hands full. If you have earned even 3 of such weirdos in your life .. then let me tell you .. you are a zillion dollar richer already.

Any matured adult .. sorry let me correct myself .. any secured matured and successful adult doesn’t have his/he best friend living next door anymore.
Your best friend will always be miles away having a time of their lives just like you are….because that’s what’s counts
We only keep our enemies closer, for old times sakes !
